Welcome to X-Head Fishing Charters!

Target species include but are not limited to —

mangrove snapper, gag grouper, sea trout, snook, redfish, tarpon, triple tail, Spanish mackerel, sheepshead and sharks!

Inshore Trips

Inshore fishing is a great way to explore just about everything Tampa Bay has to offer. The habit we target when we go inshore fishing is mangrove tree lines, grass flats, residential docks, and rock sea walls. There are dozens of different species you can catch when fishing inshore, the more popular species we catch is snook, redfish, SeaTrout, flounder, Jack, sheepshead, and many more! We like to use live greenbacks which is like a shad or live shrimp and use just a hook and line with no weight and throw the live greenbacks towards the structure we are fishing.

Near-shore Trips

Want to fill the cooler and catch some cool hard fighting fish? Then near-shore fishing is for you, we go a little further out than inshore fishing and deeper into the bay fishing depths of 15 to 45 feet of water and targeting grouper, snapper, mackerel, sheepshead and more. Bait types may change depending on the season.

A different kind of charter —

For a different experience, book a gigging or shark fishing trip!

Shark Fishing

Who doesn't want to catch a creature with big teeth?

Shark fishing is fun for everyone because sometimes it takes everyone to reel in a big beast! To catch these toothy critters we go out in the bay with big bait and even bigger rods.

Are you ready for the battle?

Gigging

Want to try something new and different?

We go out at night with high powered led lights that wrap around the front half of the boat that shine directly into the water. Instead of a fishing pole you will use a long pole to catch these fish.

Wanna give it a try/?

What’s on the boat?

X-Head Fishing Charter will provide you with water, gatorade/soda, rods, reels, tackle, fishing licenses, bait, and we filet your fish at the end of your trip!

Things to bring: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and your favorite snacks, extra drinks (alcoholic beverages are permitted) and a cooler to carry your fish home in.
